The Trail Kitchen Music comes from a family working together deep in the mountains of West Virginia, with stories to tell. The songs aim to inspire thoughtful, peaceful patriotism through reflective and authentic storytelling—rooted in faith, family, freedom, and truth-seeking. The goal is music with a message that encourages love of country, community, and home.
The same family operates The Trail Kitchen, a real restaurant deep in the mountains and backroads of Clay County, West Virginia (established 2021). It is not a soup kitchen. It is a place of high-quality food designed as an authentic American experience. There are no prices on the menu. Guests pay on one of three principles: pay what they can, pay what it was worth to them, or they may pay it forward. Your financial situation is your business only. Built on trust in people and in God.
The restaurant already plays patriotic, high-quality country music as part of the experience. These original songs allow people to take that experience home—and to reach those who may never make the trip to the restaurant. Something to feed the soul whenever it’s needed.
The songwriting primarily comes from a combat veteran and longtime storyteller who draws on a wide life of service and observation. He brings the original ideas and stories. Working alongside him is his son, a drummer with a lifetime of musical background who has played in bands. Together they create storytelling songs, using AI tools to help finish and share their work.
The songs are human-directed in concept and lyric; the musical production is created with AI assistance and is disclosed as such.
